The 8 Splendid Truths of Happiness

First splendid truth:

To be happier, you have to think about feeling good.  Build on thoughts about feeling good and becoming a better version of yourself.

Second splendid truth:

One of the best ways to make your self happy is to make other people happy.  One of the best ways to make other people happy is to be happy yourself.

 Third splendid truth:

Be grateful for the good things in your life right now… there are more than you think.

Fourth splendid truth:

Feelings are not final. There is much more to your life than what you are feeling this moment; things like kindness, working hard, and being a good friend.

Fifth splendid truth:

Happiness comes from being authentic.  Stop trying to be someone else, just be the best version of you that you can be.

Sixth splendid truth:

The only person you can change is you.

Seventh splendid truth:

Happy people make people happy, but you can’t MAKE someone be happy, and no one else can MAKE you be happy.  Your happiness is up to you.

Eighth splendid truth:

Now is now.  Stuff happens; good and bad. Give yourself a break and do the best you can.
