I am married and have three children. I have a 20 year old daughter Katlyn, Alicia is a senior at Marsing High and Dalton is in the fourth grade at Marsing Elementary. We have four dogs, three horses and three cats. Cooking, gardening and taking photos are my favorite things to do. I have lived in Marsing for 10 years and think it the most wonderful place to live. I love Marsing Elementary and hope to be here for many years to come.

Liz Lacer  --  Music / Reading Intervention

I have lived my entire life in Idaho, never living more than thirty miles from the house where I was raised. I grew up on the family farm just south of Caldwell with my siblings. There were 12 of us, even-steven, six boys, six girls. Since I was the third from the oldest I spent most of my time looking after the younger ones. I guess that is where my love of children comes from. In 1982 I married my husband Richard. We have managed to stay married for thirty-five years.

We have a daughter, a son, and six grandchildren with another one

due to arrive next March. We are blessed.

I have worked at Marsing Elementary and Sherman Elementary with the Nampa School District. While I enjoyed my five years at Nampa, making new friends and learning new things, I missed Marsing and teaching music. So I am coming back to Marsing to do what I love, teach music and help with interventions. This is home. This is where my heart is.

I love teaching our students because I love what I am doing. Teaching them about music, how to sing and perform, the different genres of music and so many other things is going to be a blast! They are so eager to learn and please, it warms my heart and brings a smile to my face. Plus they laugh at my jokes! What more can you ask for? I have the best job, ever!
