Class Expectations

• Follow the 4 Classroom agreements
  
  1. Attentive Listening: Quietly looking at the speaker and thinking about what is being said.
  2. Mutual Respect: Respect for the value, beliefs, rights, and needs of others, treating others how they want to be treated, includes confidentiality (letting people tell their own story.)
  3. Appreciation/No Put-downs: Being kind in what is said and done.
  4. Appropriate Task Completion: Doing what needs to be done in the manner intended.
     
• Leave your workstation neat: Recycle all white paper, stack books neatly back on the table, put all papers away in your assigned folders or binders (binder papers will be hole-punched and safely secured in the binder), and push in your chair.
• No food, drink, or backpacks:  Cell phones – out of sight and off!
• Tardies:  Be in the door when the bell rings. 
• Hall Pass:  Business department hall pass must be used, and you must sign in and out.  Each student will be given 4 hall passes per quarter.  Hall passes may not be “given” to other students.  Unused hall passes will each earn you extra credit points. 
• Classroom computers:  Do not abuse your equipment in any way.  Do not touch any station that is not your own.  Print only classroom work, extra printing for other classes is done in the library.
• Network etiquette/rules:  The network rules and guidelines are contained in your student handbook.  In addition, do not “surf” or play internet games on the internet during class time.  Repeated occurrences may result in loss of internet privileges.
• Make-up work:  It is your responsibility to find out what you missed and to make up work when you are absent.  You may use the lab during lunch and after school if the teacher is present.  If you are absent, you have one week to turn in the missing assignment.  After one week, any assignment will receive a zero.  DURING CLASS TIME YOU SHOULD BE WORKING ON THE CURRENT DAY’S ASSIGNMENT, NOT MAKE UP WORK.
• Late work:  1st day – max grade is 89%, 2nd day – max grade is 79%, 3rd day – grade will be ‘0’.
• Do your own work:  Copying work from another student or allowing someone to copy your work will earn both parties a zero for the assignment.
