As you may be aware, there has been a recent outbreak of measles in a neighboring states.

Measles is a serious respiratory disease that causes a rash and fever. It is very contagious, and in rare cases, can be deadly.

The best way to protect against measles is to administer the measles-mumps-rubella shot (MMR vaccine). The Marsing School District joins health care providers and the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) in recommending that all children receive the MMR shot.

Please see the enclosed link describing the disease and the benefits of the MMR vaccination.  It also answers some commonly asked questions about measles and the vaccine.
