Welcome to Powerschool Access
at
Marsing Elementary School:
You Can Use Powerschool to:
Check up on your student's class assignments, and check out your student's grades. These are in real-time, depending on the last time each was updated, generally 1 to 2 weeks.
Keep up to date on your students attendance.
Read comments from the teachers.
Remember that the individual student grades may or may not be updated today. Understand that we seek to update grades at least every week and a half. If you need to clarify anything please ask. You can email Angie at amalmberg@marsingschools.org or you can email individual teachers with links directly from their current grades.
Remember to use good email etiquette.

Guidelines for Email Etiquette:
Email can be a powerful communication tool when it is used properly. There are some basic rules that should guide your use of email.
Use the subject line.
Only send email to the people that need to see it.
Keep your messages short and focused.
Avoid using all capital letters. IT MAKES IT LOOK LIKE YOU ARE SHOUTING!
Use spell-check and read your message before you send it.
Don't write anything you wouldn't say in public.
Don't send mean or angry (flame) emails. Disrespectful or derogatory emails will result in the loss of PowerSchool access for the parent.
Use email for clarification and non-confrontational communication. If you need to confront someone or think there is a problem, do it in person, as it is less likely to result in a misunderstanding.
Do not forward lists or chain letters. Most internet chain letters are hoaxes, and you risk putting yourself on the spam filter list.
Protect your passwords. If someone else is using your account you are still responsible.
